Anneke Brassinga: 'Tuin' in English

garden

All the branches and of those there are many
rock gently from birds only just flown away.
Now that the birds were invisible
you call this wind, but no proof
is forthcoming. The motion caused
remains the same: highly variable.
Invisible birds
can just as well be monkeys as wind –
feather-light monkeys, winged most likely
or bodiless.
